(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, October 18, 2013 ) Monterey, CA -- California Disabled Veteran Business Alliance Enabling Business Opportunities with Government Agencies and Major Corporations
Area Meeting In Seaside
The Central Coast Chapter’s inaugural quarterly meeting is being held 11 AM – 2 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2013, sponsored by PG&E – Pacific Gas & Electric.
Attendance is free of charge and lunch will be provided.
Service Disabled Veteran owned companies in California have unique new opportunities in both the public and private sector. The Alliance program includes best practices for both start-ups and already growing firms in dealing with public utilities, state agencies and major corporations. Veterans and other interested business leaders are welcome; for detailed information call the Alliance Central Coast Chapter President, Cher Brandt, at 209-552-5787, or email her at c.brandt@cadvbe.org.
All veterans are urged to attend this important meeting!
With mandated goals in purchasing goods and services for State, Federal, and many private industry companies seeking to support veteran-owned business, becoming your own boss is a real alternative to taking a job. For troops who often must take time away to attend counseling or medical appointments, owning your own business removes many of the obstacles to success in creating a new income.
The Alliance is also dedicated to assisting those with “special disabilities” who may have an even more difficult time securing or holding a traditional job; one more reason to explore entrepreneurship.
