(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, May 24, 2016 ) Los Angeles, CA -- Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a form of bacteria that can infect various parts of the body. Unlike most other strains of Staphylococcus, this form is very difficult to treat. This bacterium has become resistant to common antibiotic treatments such as methicillin, amoxicillin, penicillin, and oxacillin. Consequently, MRSA is now considered a potentially dangerous ‘superbug' and there has been a steady rise in infections. Easily transmitted from skin-to-skin contact, this bacterium can be deadly if it infects surgical wounds, lungs, urinary tract or bloodstream.
Outbreaks of MRSA infections in hospitals have risen over the years due to lack of viable treatments. Now the focus is shifting towards natural treatment options in the form of botanical extracts with anti-bacterial properties. Manuka Oil is one essential oil that is proving to be very effective. With many people getting mild staph infections in the form of boils, rashes and sores, this natural treatment option is also being utilized more readily at home.
Jay has been using pure Manuka Oil from Hill Country Manuka to treat his skin infections with positive results. He shared his story in a recent interview: "I have suffered with a MRSA infection for several years and have tried everything to get rid of it. I have gone to doctors and dermatologists who prescribed antibiotics and creams and still had MRSA on most parts of my body (Scalp, Neck, Shoulders, Chest, Back, Buttocks and Groin Area). It's definitely not easy to get rid of but here is how I finally did it.
The only products that made a difference for me were this 100% Manuka Oil, Manuka Health MGO 400+ Manuka Honey, Hibiclens (Chlorhexidine gluconate) and Sunlight (UV Rays). Throw everything else away! I have tried them all, with limited success (Antibiotics, Tea Tree Oil, Vinegar, Salicylic Acid, Coal Tar Shampoo, Witch Hazel, Bar Soap, Liquid Soap you name it)."
Jay had to remain vigilant, but with persistence he has managed to cure all his infections naturally by following this daily routine:
"To get rid of the MRSA, I showered twice a day with Hibiclens or generic drugstore equivalent. Always put on fresh clothes after showering. At night, I put Manuka Health MGO 400+ Honey on the areas that show signs of MRSA and rub it into the skin with some warm water and let dry till tacky. For really bad areas, use this 100% Manuka Oil and let it set in overnight. Then you can shower off in the morning. It may take a few months to be completely MRSA free but you will see results very quickly using this regimen and then you can shower once a day."
When asked about the aroma of Manuka Oil, Jay admitted that it wasn't the best smell, although it was certainly worth using: "Yeah, I know the Manuka oil smells a little. But hey, if you want to be MRSA free, it's worth putting up with the stink for a bit. Try to get a half an hour of direct sunlight on infected areas. I find the UV rays help kill the MRSA and promotes faster healing of the skin."
