'The Retaliators' Premieres at 21st Annual Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Hollywood!

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, October 28, 2021 ) HOLLYWOOD, CA - Just in time for Halloween, Screamfest made its grand return to the spotlight at its 21st annual festival at the icon TCL Chinese Theatre in the heart of good ol’ Hollywood, California! Horror film, ‘The Retaliators’, made its grand debut on opening night, which took place October 12th.

Often referred to as the “Sundance of Horror”, Screamfest Horror Film Festival is the largest horror film festival in the country! Thanks to its heavy attendance, many of its featured films earn distribution and representation as a result of being part of the annual showcase. In fact, in 2007, the soon-to-be-smash-hit movie, ‘Paranormal Activity’ was discovered at this very festival before becoming the sensation it’s known as today.

This year, a bold new horror film titled, ‘The Retaliators’, made its debut on opening night of the festival. The film revolves around a pastor who uncovers a “dark and twisted” underworld as he searches for answers to his daughter’s brutal murder. Starring Michael Lombardi, the film was directed by Samuel Gonzales, Jr. and Bridget Smith.

Step and Repeat LA was brought in for the 5th year in a row (excluding the year 2020, of course) to provide one of its signature Media Walls for the festival’s black carpet photo-op. Constructed from a series of 4’ wide wooden set flats, the total wall measured an impressive 8’ tall by 20’ wide, and featured a matte-finished fabric with full-color print with a black background…a spooky color for such a spooky time of year!

The festival ran from October 12th thru the 21st.
