Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, May 16, 2016 ) Walnut, California -- Garden Utopia, a brand of KDN Global, is today left ruing the 'butterfly effect' after a simple human error snowballed into a significant amount of lost sales for the fledgling Home and Garden brand.
A sole click of a mouse in their UK office has proven to be the difference between thousands of Dollars of sales and their current situation - no stock - after their UK head of Operations clicked the wrong button when booking a shipment of product from the Far East to Los Angeles port in the United States.
Meredith Garcia, CEO of Garden Utopia and its parent group KDN Global, said "It was just a human mistake - and to be clear we all make mistakes - when Steve in the UK office hit a wrong button when booking a shipment online with our freight forwarder. Instead of clicking 'Submit', Steve hit 'Save' which is a pretty simple mistake to make. However that meant that the booking wasn't made, which meant we missed the ship, and the next available ship via our agent didn't sail for another 10 days, meaning we were already chasing our tail to get stock into Amazon's warehouses".
To compound issues, that ship developed a mechanical fault which caused a further 9 day delay on the container ship finally docking in Los Angeles 2 days ago - almost 3 weeks late. The brand had already run out of stock of their flagship product - a Window Bid Feeder with Suction Cups - due to a bumper week in the run up to Mothers Day.
The brand expect the container to be unloaded, and inventory transported into Amazons Fulfilment Centers within the next 7 days.
