(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, December 16, 2013 ) Los Angeles, CA -- Scratches and smudges on the iPhone 5 is considered normal according to the marketing head of Apple, Phil Schiller. According to Schiller, the iPhone 5 is very much susceptible to scuffing. Take note that Apple is very much aware of its product's easy tendency to experience scuffs and scratches yet is doing nothing to prevent or at least protect its product. They also continually produce and manufacture the same vulnerable unit to its millions of customers.
Schiller's comments are prompted by an email he received from a customer who complained of the marks and scratches present on his iPhone 5. The response of Apple's marketing boss was not an apology but a blatant admission of their product's flaw. Schiller also made no effort to suggest ways to protect the iPhone 5 or at least offer a replacement unit as well as provide necessary repairs. Instead. Schiller explains the fact that all aluminum products can chip or scratch easily and thus calls the issue as "normal."
While Schiller describes the tendency of the iPhone 5 to easily smudge as normal. his response has been called insensitive. Also evident is his nonchalance on an issue that a lot of Apple iPhone 5 customers experience and would like to be resolved.
Unfortunately, no such response was received and none was offered by Schiller or anyone from Apple. It seems everyone is on his own in terms of solving the issue of scratch marks on the iPhone 5. So far, the easy and best way to protect the iPhone 5 is to restrict using it or avoid using it altogether - an impossibility to all lovers of gadgets.
Another way to protect the iPhone 5 is to keep it away from objects that would possibly scratch its surface. Usually, the iPhone 5 is placed inside the pocket or chucked inside a bag carelessly along with car or house keys - items that could cause evident scratches and smudges on the surface of the unit. Plus, fingerprints are 100% unavoidable. Either one avoid touching the iPhone 5 or wear gloves while using it.
One effective way to protect the iPhone 5 is via the full screen protector iPhone 5 as it protects the unit from fingerprints. The unit can remain in mint condition and be re-sold after years of use. The full screen protector can be used on the iPhone 5C or iPhone 5S.
