Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, February 15, 2014 ) Los Angeles, CA -- Kay Chan, an entrepreneur based in China, recently shared his plan to build a Mexican restaurant in Hong Kong. Once the restaurant is open for business, Chan aims to donate two percent of his monthly net profit to Yan Oi Tang, a charity organization that helps children and adults.
According to the Indiegogo charity project page, it is Chan’s dream to own a Mexican restaurant. Chan is interested in starting a Mexican restaurant in Hong Kong because there are less than 15 Mexican food places in the city. Since most of the restaurants target a high to medium priced market, there is a great demand for Mexican cuisine at a lower cost—a challenge that Chan is ready to accept.
“There is great potential for further developing a Mexican restaurant in Hong Kong, mainland China, and South East Asia,” said Chan. “In order to ensure success, I decided to involve a Mexican food catering group that is well known.”
At this time, Chan is accepting donations through Indiegogo, a crowd funding website that benefits entrepreneurs who want to learn how to raise money for their campaigns. Chan estimates that there will be a $19,400 franchising fee and a $19,400 three month rental deposit fee. It will also cost another $54,000 for decorations, furniture, equipment, electric appliances, and kitchen utensils.
Chan’s goal is to raise $93,000 by March 18, 2014. In exchange for pledges, Chan is offering contributors a wide variety of wallets, all of which will be delivered by April 2014. The wallets come in three fashionable designs and a wide variety of colors.
