Based in Santa Monica, California, Owen + Nathan was created because owner Christine Syquia wanted to use cloth diapers when her second son Nathan was born. However, after she tried a diaper delivery service she realized that the cloth diapers were not up to the task. The cloth diapers needed to be changed every hour and they could not hold a lot of liquid. She then looked at the marketplace and started to look into other areas where she could introduce healthy, safe and chemical-free products, such as a diaper starter kit, for other families who were committed to baby wellness.

Owen + Nathan Bamboo Diaper Inserts are cloth diapers placed inside a polyester shell lining which are sold separately. The bamboo inserts are five layers - 3 layers of microfiber and 2 layers of a charcoal bamboo layer. The natural smell of the charcoal combats odor and the natural gray color of the diapers is a plus since the diapers don't look soiled even when they are clean like white diapers.

Owen + Nathan bamboo diaper inserts are hypoallergenic for baby's skin and as the inserts are washed, they become softer. And they keep disposable diapers out of landfills.
