Los Angles Press Releases
|
(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, September 12, 2014 ) Los Angeles, California -- Chris Moal, CEO of Trained Sports, which is a sports equipment company, reveals some of the tips he wants to share to parents, coaches and health buffs everywhere. Being an avid health aficionado, Moal has developed some tips that will make agility and speed training more effective.
Moal shares that before each training session, athletes should prepare with a thorough, dynamic warm-up.
"If you want to minimize the risks of injury in your athletes, a good warm-up is a good way to prevent it," says Moal.
Moal continues saying that distance running should be avoided as it lowers explosiveness that might affect speed. If a trainer's concern is conditioning, a coach should condition particularly for the athlete's sport. Moal says that there are plenty of ways to stay in shape for active sports without having to do slow aerobic work that reduces explosiveness.
Trainers should concentrate on speed training when the athlete's body is in a non-fatigued condition. This means that speed training should be done at the start of a workout after an easy day or after a day of complete rest.
For young players, speed training should be competitive and playful. Young players below nine years old should never be given formal drill work. Exercises should be quick, with quick changes of direction.
Moal also stresses on the importance on correcting player's mechanics. Coaches should also relate the mechanics of the drills to the particular movements of the athlete's sport. Coaches should also find a way to stress proper mechanics without making a player robotic.
Trained Sports also has some sports equipment tools on Amazon. Their agility ladder was just launched earlier this year.
