This includes taking a good night's rest and eating healthy and mainly plant-based diet," Merika continued.

Inappropriate skin care regime also contributes to older looking skin. Merika also informed that younger people should split their skin care routine such that 70% of it takes care of skin problems such as acne and 30% takes care of aging. As a person gets older, it would be more helpful to have 80% of skin care regime take care of aging while 20% address acne. Collagen serums contain hyaluronic acid that helps improve collagen production to make skin more elastic and young looking and can be included in daily skin care regime.

Lack of exercise may also make the skin look older faster. Merika recommends exercising first thing in the morning in order to enhance circulation of the blood.

Makeup is also another factor for aging. Merika recommends wearing only light makeup and to avoid powders. He advised only using sunscreen, a little blush and a little color on the lips and eyes.
