Los Angles Press Releases
|
(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, October 26, 2014 ) Los Angeles, California -- Chris Moal, Trained Sports CEO, once again advices training coaches on how the maximize their use of the agility ladder. The Trained Sports CEO is always looking for vital information to share with training coaches and home fitness enthusiasts. Here, Moal shares some suggestions on how to let players make the most out of their agility training experience using agility ladders.
Moal recommends that training coaches should make sure that their players are appropriately warmed-up before starting with any agility training. This significantly reduces the players' risks of knee, back and ankle injuries. Training coaches should also keep in mind some little things for agility training that would be helpful for their players.
First of all, players must take off and land with the balls of their feet. They should never use their toes or try landing flat-footed. This little tip can help make sure that the player will work carefully on his balance.
A player must also make use of his arms when moving his body forward. Training coaches should therefore ensure that their players keep their hands relaxed while keeping their heads still. When doing agility ladder exercises, players must breathe at a steady rate and should never try holding his breath while going through the ladder exercises. Players should be encourages to breath in the same manner as when sprinting.
When doing agility drill exercises, coaches and players must prioritize exercise quality more than quantity. The players should first get used to the drills before thinking of "how much" or "how fast" they should exercise. As soon as the players are already used to the correct drill techniques, the training coach should then encourage them to move with game speed.
