Step And Repeat LA Helped Create A Kid's Haunted House At A Local Church

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, November 10, 2014 ) Shadow Hills, CA -- Using old step and repeat banners sitting in storage along with pipe and base and telescoping banner stands, Step and Repeat LA created a maze structure for a Haunted House. The night before Halloween, the staff of Step and Repeat LA set up this maze and then helped the Church staff cover the banners with black plastic and decorations to make the walls of the Halloween Haunted house. These walls curved, creating a maze and a pathway for kids to walk through. It was a kid-friendly haunted house, but was decorated with slightly spooky decorations, so as to excite, but not scare or terrorize the younger kids.

As the kids walked through the maze, they had the chance to play numerous games along the way. The first was a bean bag toss. Step and Repeat LA designed and created the panels for the bean bag toss with pictures from Frozen which was a big hit with the little girls. Then the kids came upon a jar with candy corn where they had to guess how many candy corn in the jar. After that they played a fun bowling game, knocking down toilet paper rolls disguised as ghosts. Next in the maze, they were treated to a game of air darts. As they wound their way through the maze they put their hands in different holes where they felt gooey and creepy things and a zombie grabbed their hand - if they could handle the scare. The staff of the Church used good judgement on how much scare would be just enough to excite each child, but not leave them with nightmares.

After a few more games where the kids were awarded with treats for playing, they then came to the end of the maze and entered the line for photographs in their costumes in front of a step and repeat backdrop designed, fabricated and installed by Step and Repeat LA. There was also a wicked witch lifesize cutout designed and fabricated by Step and Repeat LA where the children could get their pictures taken alongside of the witch. They got their photos taken by professional photographers, the picture printed and they got to keep one copy and enter another in a photo contest with different categories for winners. The winners were treated to a gift certificate donated by the Church.

The haunted house was enjoyed by over 600 people who went through it in 4 hours. Many kids reported that it was very fun and the best time ever.
