Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, November 25, 2014 ) Los Angeles, CA -- CelineCeline came across comments about how mandoline slicers can be dangerous and wanting to ease any fears they produced a new How-To video that shows how to use a mandoline slicer to get foods sliced safe and fast.
As with any sharp blade or instrument it is important to follow proper security guidelines; handle with care, keep away from children, never pass a knife blade first, etc.
MyPro Mandoline Slicer comes with a newly designed hand and finger guard. The well-engineered finger guard allows cooks to cut small bits, like cutting radishes for garnish and salads, or getting to the end of zucchini or cucumber while never getting finger tips anywhere near the blade. The efficient design lets chefs get to the last tasty bits without endangering finger or knuckles.
The new hand and finger guard design is comprised of a cup that has 4 tines encased in a sliding sleeve that allows for the bulk of the food item to fit in. It works as the palm of a hand would while holding an apple. That makes it easy to control the food one is trying to slice as it passes over the body of the slicer and the blade. When the cook passes the food back and forth over the blade while holding it in the hand guard, the sliding cup collapses in as the cook pushes down for closer contact against the blade, fingers safely tucked inside the guard. Better control means less change of a mishap.
With long and thin veggies such as carrots, cucumbers and zucchini CelineCeline Product manager recommends grabbing them by making a fist, fingers together parallel with the mandoline. Holding the mandoline with the other hand, it is now safe to slice until the bit left fits inside the hand guard.
In a busy kitchen, efficiency is key and the MyPro Mandoline Slicer gets the job done.
