(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, December 30, 2014 ) Los Angeles, California -- Trained Sports CEO Chris Moal thinks that health buffs might want to ditch out their old workout program and start including agility training into their routine. Research has also revealed the advantages of agility training on enhancing the mental performance of its participants.
The study grouped military participants into two. The two groups participated in six weeks of training with the control group using standard physical training while the control group used agility training using agility ladder drills. The control group's workout included jogging and calisthenics. After six weeks of training, tests revealed that standard military training enhanced the military men's endurance. On the other hand, the treatment group was found to improve their concentration, memory and footwork.
According to one of the researchers, agility training involved more parts of the brain while doing the activities. These brain parts helped improve the men's balance, coordination and focus. This also enabled men to have better connections in various parts of the brain so that they work better.
Aside from brain function, there are other benefits of agility training says Chris Moal. Ensuring that exercise routines are more varied can help athletes or other individuals prevent fatigue or getting body burnouts. Agility training is therefore a great way to help people achieve their fitness goals while improving their minds and bodies.
Moal recommends including agility ladder drills into particular days of strength training if it is difficult to stay away from standard workout programs.
"Agility ladders are flexible equipment that enables you to design simple and complicated routines to make you improve your balance, coordination and reaction time, " Moal says.
