Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, November 30, 2014 ) Los Angeles, California -- There is an ocean of brands available for resistance bands. This equipment can also be bought on most sports and discount stores. But if convenience and good background check is important, shopping for resistance bands online can be the best bet.
Trained Sports CEO, Chris Moal, shares to customers some tips when buying resistance bands.
"First of all, try to choose a simple band. The long tube with handles is ideal especially if it is your first time to use this equipment. There are other styles available, too, such as circular bands or double bands. When you have fathomed how to use the band, you may then try other types available," Moal explains.
Once the resistance band is ready, there is also the need to learn about the basic moves to do with the equipment. Moal further shared some of these basic moves that can be done with resistance bands.
Chest presses are just one of the many exercises that can be done with resistance bands. For this, wrap the band around a rail or pole. The door attachment may also be used to secure the band. Place the band just right at the chest level and step just far enough from the door such that there is constant tension on the band. Keep elbows parallel to the floor while doing the exercise.
"You can also do the seated row exercise. For this, just keep the band in place and just turn around so that you are facing the band, the exercise focuses on the large muscles on the sides of the back so ensure that you are squeezing your back without arching or pulling your elbows too far back," Moal adds.
Finally, bicep curls can also be done with resistance bands. Stand on the band with one foot or both feet. Hold the band handles in each hand and just like what you would do with dumbbells, curl up in a bicep curl. This exercise can be made more difficult by stepping the feet wide or use a heavy band.
