Levy says that in cleaning silicone bakeware, pieces of stuck-on food should be softened first. Fill a dish pan with hot water and place 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing soap. Place the silicone bakeware in the soapy mixture for about 15 minutes. This is enough to soften the stuck-on food so that it can simply be wiped away.

"For this step, make sure that your soapy mixture is enough to cover your silicone bakeware," Levy adds.

After getting rid of stuck food, the next step is to clean the silicone bakeware. Levy added that when cooking spray is used before baking on the silicone bakeware, greasy film could be present. This can be removed by using dishwashing soap especially made for removing stubborn grease. However, never ever use scouring pads in cleaning silicone bakeware. When cooking spray was not used, warm soapy water will do. Lastly, rinse the bakeware carefully and set to dry
