Tips For Becoming More Active By Trained Sports CEO

Chris Moal, CEO of Trained Sports, shares some tips on how to stay more active and how to get more from your daily activities.

Moal says, "First of all, it is important to choose activities that you love doing. Different things may count as exercise such as walking, dancing, gardening, playing sports or cycling. To get you moving easier, select something that gets you moving and something that fits with your self-identity. Can you imagine yourself wearing sexy clothes and cycling comfortably to the office? Or would you rather wear workout clothes to the gym?"

Moal also suggests piecing workout together because there is no need to exercise at a single time. Ten minutes of working out three times a day would just give the same benefit as thirty minutes of working out at once.

Another suggestion is to exercise with a friend. This can help keep a person on track and will add motivation to start exercising.

"When walking, do it briskly as this could help you control your weight more than when walking at a leisurely pace but you might wonder what is brisk enough? You can think about meeting someone and that you are already late. Or you can also time the number of steps you take in a minute. If you take 120 to 135 steps a minute, that is already a great pace at 3 to 4 miles each hour. If you are not walking that quick you can try picking up pace for short bursts while doing your usual walk on various days of the week. In time, you will be able to walk your way faster.
