Mr. Muffin's Levy Reveals Healthy Baking Tips To Customers

In order to make a fluffy cake from a cake mix, Levy discourages using all those eggs and oil. Instead, use a can of diet soda and an egg white to have a dessert with just 160 Calories with two grams of fat a piece.

"Since most dry cake mixes already have some amount of fat, there is no need to add more. There are also other combinations you can try. Try diet cream soda for yellow or white cream or try diet root beer for chocolate cake mix," Levy shares.

Most recipes for chocolate chip cookies are larger than what is considered a healthy portion. Levy suggests using a tablespoon in measuring out dough to ensure correct and healthier portions. Sheet cake and brownies should be cut into two-inch squares before serving while pies should be around 1 and ½ inches across its widest part.

"In order to cut chocolate chip cookie calories and fat, consider using one cup of finely chopped chocolate instead of two. Smaller pieces will give more chips into each bite so you don't feel deprived. I recommend using the same principle to other calorie-dense ingredients such as dried fruit and nuts. Chop finely half the required amount in the recipe," Levy adds.
