(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, February 08, 2015 ) Los Angeles, CA -- The ground-breaking book entitled "I would, but my DAMN MIND won't let me!" that teaches teen girls how to take charge of their lives by taking control of their thoughts and feelings was released on February 1, 2015 and became an instant best seller in the US, UK and Canadian markets.
Growing up today isn't easy, especially for teen girls. Most teens struggle just to keep up with the never-ending demands from school, family and social life. Overwhelmed by stress and pressure, teens can rapidly develop negative thoughts and feelings about themselves and their world.
The more teens focus on their stress, the more stress they seem to experience. Many of these teens will go on to develop a belief that they are not good enough, inadequate or inferior to their peers. It becomes a vicious cycle that leads many teens to feel they are helpless in how they think and feel. Left untreated, this could escalate into a diagnosis of anxiety, depression, or other mental health disorders.
In her 15-year experience working in adolescent health as a Nurse Practitioner and Self-Empowerment Specialist, Letran has seen too many teens suffer from out of control emotions. In "I would, but my DAMN MIND won't let me!" Letran uses simple concepts to teach teens how to understand and take control of their thoughts and feelings. Using real client case scenarios, Letran demonstrates how beliefs are developed and how negative beliefs can take over if left unchecked. Throughout this book, Letran gives insights and advice about how teens can take charge of their lives by taking charge of their mind.
When asked why she wrote the book, Letran replied that her mission and passion for helping teen girls developed from her own struggle as an unwed teen mom on public assistance. Having been there herself, Letran understands how painful it is to feel out of control, lost and isolated. In writing this book and publishing it on Amazon Kindle, Letran hopes to reach as many of the millions of teens who are suffering in silence right now and give teens not only hope, but simple tools that can be used right now to transform their lives.
With teen anxiety, depression, suicide and bullying making headlines every day, Letran hopes her book will be a great resource in helping teens be more confident, assertive and self-assured in their every day life.
