It was agreed upon that before looking into launching additional models into the market, ulterior ways to expand this current line of desk lamps ought to be tested out first and foremost. But...how?
Color has been known to have a powerful impact, psychological and otherwise, on people's behavior and decisions. Color can often be the sole reason someone purchases a product, where 93% of buyers focus on visual appearance and almost 85% claim color to be their primary reason for purchase! This knowledge has been harnessed and implemented by designers and marketers alike, and now lends guidance to the next big move at Top-Shelf Goods™.
It was determined that a survey be implemented to gain insight on where customers' preferences lay. The R & D department plans to run the survey for at least a week to gain as much feedback as possible. The premise is simple - if customers were to acquire a brand new lamp instantly, which would they choose out of the following color options: black, yellow, green, or blue. The aim is to cross reference data on customers and determine patterns between choice of product color and various factors such as work background, age, education, location, etc.
Charles Mayne, Director of R & D for Top-Shelf Goods, states, "We're all very curious as to how this will turn out. We've already established a strong essence with our current website and branding, but this will allow us to develop in a way that we know is loyal to our current customers' appeal. So this survey should help a ton." Results will be shared as soon as the survey ends - within a week or so - if it is determined that enough feedback has been collected.
