Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, February 27, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Fitness people are currently looking into resistance bands mainly because of the equipment's portability. Unfortunately, not all people know how to use resistance bands and so they try to avoid them altogether. Chris Moal, CEO of Trained Sports, wishes that he will be able to shed light to some people on what are resistance bands and how to use them.
Consumers are sometimes confused on how to choose resistance bands. According to Moal, a person can virtually do anything with resistance bands like they can with weights. However, there are slight differences on the positions that a person can perform using resistance bands. "You can hold the handles when performing overhead presses while placing the band under your foot, for example. The resistance band can also be placed around a pole in order to do chest exercises," Moal says.
Bands come with advantages compared to weights and machines. While machines are large and expensive, resistance bands are affordable and portable. They can be easily packed inside a bag for people who are constantly on travel. This way there is no reason why a person can miss his workouts.
Another advantage of resistance bands is to help improve coordination. Since exercising with bands work with tension in doing exercises, the body needs to stabilize. "With the help of stabilization, you will be able to improve your coordination and balance with at the same time improving the strength of your muscle groups," Moal adds.
Resistance bands can also create and add challenge into an otherwise old routine. When it comes to weights, a disadvantage is the limitations of the number of exercises that can be performed with it. However, routines done with resistance bands can be performed in different ways to make exercises different. This enables the body to feel different such that the workout feels different, too.
Resistance bands are cheaper than most sports equipment and are a great choice for people on a budget. Moal adds that resistance bands can be used by people of all fitness levels so regardless of experience, resistance bands can be included in a workout program.
