Resistance Bands Tips For Customers From Trained Sports CEO

Bands utilize body strength to help enhance flexibility and strength unlike other fitness equipment. Resistance bands are considered versatile sports equipment since they can be incorporated in other workout programs such as weight training, yoga and Pilates.

CEO of Trained Sports, Chris Moal, discusses useful tips when using resistance bands. These tips have something to do with the postures and movements of users.

Resistance bands allow the body to target particular muscle groups but can also be made to include other areas of the body. "Proper posture is important when exercising with resistance bands since it guarantees that you let the core muscles stay strong. The back should remain straight with the head facing forward and the shoulders back," Moal shares.

Proper breathing including inhaling and breathing evenly is important especially when returning to the first position. For exercises in the standing position, keep the knees bent and soft while the legs are hip-width apart.

When performing moving exercises using resistance bands, move slowly, gently and in controlled motions. Never let the bands snap back quickly into position. Instead, let the band return softly into its position. Make sure that the band is appropriately placed around the anchor when performing bicep curls.

Moal says, "If you are unable to complete a movement because of excessive resistance, there might be a need to change into a more flexible band. If in case you end up with a sagging band, look for a more rigid band. Larger bands can also be doubled to increase resistance if you are looking for a band between sizes."
