Levy recommends using a tablespoon in scooping out dough to guarantee healthy and correct portions. Brownies and sheet cakes must be cut into two-inch squares prior to serving. Pies must also be cut 1 ½ inches across its widest part.

"To reduce cut fat and calorie content in chocolate chip cookies, try using a cup of finely ground chocolate instead of two coarsely chopped chocolate. The smaller pieces will spread more chips into each piece and there is no way you will feel deprived. I also suggest using doing the same with other calorie-dense ingredients like nuts and dried fruits. Finely chop half the required amount of nuts or fruits in the recipe," Levy adds.
