"The good news is that there are some things to do for the bakeware's floppiness. Being flexible surely helps in taking food easily from the bakeware but it can also mean burnt fingers or spilled food. It is therefore a good idea to use a metal baking sheet under silicone bakeware for added stability," Levy shares.

Most silicone bakeware will also need greasing. Some may require greasing only during its first use but others may require a little bit of cooking spray with each use. Levy suggests checking manufacturer instructions.
