Cuddles' Customer Asks How Often To Diaper Change Newborn Babies

The team at Cuddles suggested to Helen that newborn babies should be diaper changed regularly due to the combination of bacteria in babies wee and poo that will lead to diaper rash.

The team also suggested a diaper change should be conducted before or after feeding time, or whenever they've done a poo. Also a good time for parents to diaper change a baby is when they have awoken in the middle of the night to be fed, or they may be awake soon after feeding due to feeling uncomfortable.

The team at Cuddles informed Helen that parents would have to bear in mind that babies being wet may not bother them a lot, but newborn's are known to wee every one to three hours a day and poo several times a day, so babies may not cry every time they need a diaper change.

Moreover parents will have to check for wetness every couple of hours as disposable diapers absorb moisture very well, so parents may find it hard to detect if the diaper is wet, so best to use a clean dry finger to test the wetness of the diaper every couple of hours.

In addition the team recommended parents may decide to use cloth diapers, which are allegedly cheaper to use in the long run, and some mothers assume they cause less diaper rash. Subsequently parents may be inclined to travel with dirty diapers in regards to cloth diapers, as well as cloth diapers costing more in the beginning.
