Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, March 24, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Resistance bands have become popular in gyms all around the world. Should a person join all of those using the bands or should he not? Chris Moal, Trained Sports CEO, says that if a person is not using resistance bands then he is not using all the tools available to build his body.
Strong and muscular men are said to be using the bands and flaunting the results and if others are not convinced science might shed some light.
A study looked at the effects of including resistance bands to free weight barbells when elite rugby players and professional athletes bench pressed. The researchers looked at the velocity and acceleration-deceleration profiles of the participants' bench press. The conditions were evaluated when bench pressing a loaded barbell and then a barbell with added resistance band.
The results demonstrated that when resistance bands were added to the barbell, the participants had a significantly longer phase of acceleration. The results ranged from an increased acceleration by 13 to 35 percent. Also, maximal velocity also increased with the additional resistance band.
The study concluded that barbell bench presses with added resistance bands appear to be more evenly distributed over the complete range of motion, which decreases the need for great deceleration. Meaning, when using bands participants reached a faster speed and improved their speed for longer. These advantages are essential in sports such as rugby that need high strength levels and fiery power.
Trained Sports Resistance Bands are distributed by Moal and his company and is available on Amazon. The bands come in different tension levels that can suit beginners to advanced athletes. Different tension level bands can also be used together to achieve more challenge.
