(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, April 01, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- People with sedentary lifestyles should benefit from adding any physical activity into their daily lives. Gradually increasing physical activity comes with plenty of benefits, says Trained Sports CEO Chris Moal. "Aerobic exercises are especially helpful in improving immunity and resistance to common diseases. Aerobic activities are also known to significantly reduce the risks of stroke, heart attack and diabetes. Aerobic activities trigger the heart to beat faster, making it good for the heart. Studies have shown that brisk walking for as little as 15 minutes a day comes with a lot of advantages," Moal explains.
According to Moal, the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans suggest to healthy adults doing at least two hours and a half of moderately intense activities per week. Moal also suggests doing high intensity activities of a minimum of 1 hour and 15 minutes each week. To minimize the risk of injury, activities can also be divided into the days of the week," Moal explains.
Combining moderate and highly intense exercises is also a great idea, Moal says. He says that vigorous intensity activities could be done for two consecutive days followed by two days of moderate intensity activities. He also suggests dividing exercises into smaller ones to a minimum of ten minutes. Healthy people are also recommended to perform muscle-strengthening exercises for at least two times a week and kids should have at least an hour of physical activity every day.
