Moal reveals some secrets on how to maintain a physically active lifestyle. For him, consistency plays a major role in staying fit. When aiming to join marathons, running for 15 minutes a day can be helpful. Once the body has adjusted, the distance and the speed can then be worked on, he says.
"Have short-term goals and set a time to achieve them. You will eventually become better with consistent practice. No matter how little time you practice, as long as you do it consistently you will surely see a difference in your performance," Moal says. He adds that all workout programs are effective if done consistently.
Moal recommends choosing and following a certain exercise program. It can be interval training, cardiovascular or aerobic exercises or strength training. Strength training is helpful in toning the body. The exercises can be done every day for twenty minutes. Interval training involves doing a moderate-intensity exercise along with a high-intensity exercise and rests in between at different time intervals. This has been found to be the most effective way to burn calories. Cardio or aerobic exercises are typically performed by doing an hour of low to moderate intensity exercises such as dancing, walking or running.
