Moal says that with determination, any individual can lead an active life by including regular exercises into their daily routine despite their busy schedules. He says, "A single minute of high intensity workout can create a difference in anyone's physical fitness. A research tried to see how highly intense activities performed for short bursts of time can affect the body's capability of burning fat. The participants were asked to exercise on stationary bikes three times per week for six weeks. They were also made to do three 2-second sprints as part of a 10-minute workout. The researchers found that the participants significantly improved their cardiorespiratory functions by 12%. Their bodies ability to burn fat also significantly improved."

Moal suggests performing a similar training as done in the study. "You can try doing one minute of sprint then walking for a minute for a total of 30 minutes. When we look at it, a person would have done 15 minutes of walking and 15 minutes of sprinting. However, do not underestimate the figures since the technique is said to burn fat more even after the exercise," he explains.

Moal explains that the technique is effective because sprinting is considered a highly intense workout and while doing it, the body activates fast-switch muscle fibers usually dormant while performing low or moderate intensity activities. This translates to say that highly intense exercises done for short intervals of time is more effective and efficient in burning fat more so even the busiest people can still find time to exercise and burn stored fats.
