Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, May 04, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Resistance bands are already part of fitness centers but there are still people who are not informed about these tools. Trained Sports CEO, Chris Moal, shares some of the myths surrounding resistance bands and what's the real deal with them.
People think that resistance bands are not involved in scientific studies, which is definitely not true, Moal says. There are hundreds of published clinical trials involving resistance bands, he says. He adds that there are also more than sixty fundamental and applied researches that discuss the scientific principles of resistance bands including electromyographic evidence and biomechanical analysis. Majority of these researches can be viewed online.
The CEO also says that most people consider machine-based resistances more effective and safer to use than resistance bands. Once again, this claim is baseless. "The injuries and rates involving resistance bands are fewer or as few as machine-based resistance incidents. Scientific research show that resistance offered by resistance bands are hugely similar to machine-based resistance in terms of physiological response, strength outcomes and patterns of muscle activation," Moal continues.
A common myth involving resistance bands is that the tension in the bands increases with motion, which makes it a challenge to complete an exercise. Moal explains that even though the tension in the bands increases as a person stretches it, the torque produced is bell-shaped and means that at the beginning and at the end, the strength curve profile is similar to human strength curves. The torque changes happen because of changing the angle between the band and the lever arm, also called as force angle. As the range of motion increases, the force angle is reduced thereby changing torque production.
Trained Sports Resistance Bands are exclusively available on Amazon. The bands ships with free exercises e-book that can be done using the bands.
