Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, May 21, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Chris Moal, CEO of sports tool distributor Trained Sports, simply loves sharing health related information to his customers. He hopes that this information can help his customers live a more physically active lifestyle, which is truly beneficial to the health.
He shares that walking is a great exercise for people of all ages because it does not need special equipment, is usually safe and can be done at any time or any place. Different studies, Moal says, have shown that walking significantly lowers the risk of developing stroke, heart disease and diabetes in various groups of people.
Although walking at any pace has health benefits, Moal says that brisk walking is more effective at weight control than slow walking. Also, Moal says that cycling also provides similar benefits to brisk walking. A study involved 18,000 women whose physical activities and weight were monitored for 16 years. The women gained on the average around 20 pounds during the period of the study. However, the participants who increased their exercise by 30 minutes each day gained less weight than those who maintained their activity levels. Women who brisk walked or biked were also able to reduce their weight gain but those who did slow walking were not, Moal says.
According to Moal, brisk walking can be a challenge for several people and that biking may be a more preferable option. In a study, it was found that overweight women spent significantly less time brisk walking than women of normal weight but they spent almost the same time biking.
"If you don't like to walk or bike, you can do any activity that will make your heart work faster. So long as you do it frequently and long enough, you will be good. Biking and walking are great ways to get to work also and it's green! It's good for you and the environment," Moal adds.
Trained Sports distributes convenient sports tools, which can be used by people of different levels of physical fitness. Their resistance bands are available on Amazon.
