Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, May 26, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- According to Trained Sports CEO, Chris Moal, most people who exercise do so because they want to help control their weight, tone and build their muscles and have better cardiovascular health. But he shares that working out comes with benefits that go past the muscles and the heart.
"Studies have shown that exercising provides mental benefits to people of all ages and fitness levels. If improving cardiovascular health is not enough to get you going to the gym or dancing, maybe you will be inspired to move more if you knew that exercise can help make you have better mental health leading to better relationships, healthier and happier life," Moal says.
First of all, Moal says that exercising can help boost self-confidence. "Enroll to a gym or dance class to look and feel sexy. Physical fitness is known to help boost self-confidence and provide a positive self-image. It doesn't matter what your age, size, weight and gender is. Exercise can quickly help improve a person's perception of his self-worth.
Exercising outdoors can have benefits, too, Moal adds. He says that working out outdoors can help improve self-confidence even more. "Look for an outdoor workout that best suits you. It could be hiking, canoeing, rock-climbing or just jogging. Exercising under the sun has its benefits too, vitamin D can help relieve signs of depression and makes you feel happier," Moal says.
Moal also says that exercise can help prevent mental decline. As people get older, the brain becomes older, too, and diseases such as Alzheimer's are much more probable. Moal says that although a healthy diet and exercise can't actually cure Alzheimer's disease, they can help prevent cognitive decline, which starts after age 45. "Working out between the ages 25 and 45 are said to enhance the chemicals in the brain that prevent the degradation of the brain," Moal adds.
