I am not much of an Amazon Buyer, let alone a reviewer of things...but this little veggie slicer is worthy of a "write-up". I grew up in a food family. There was always someone performing in the kitchen - slicin' this and dicin' that! So, we know our gadgets! Well, my cousin was having a Backyard BBQ earlier this summer and she was making this carrot and zucchini salad with a ginger and lime dressing. Yum-o! She called over a couple of my nieces and my nephew to help make the "veggie strings" for the salad. My cousin has two of these slicers...so the kids had a competition of "Who could make the longest veggie string?" It was great watching the kids have fun with these slicers by safe skins! (Oh, and the girls won the longest Veggie Lace Competition...the boys were close though.) They would have won, had they not tried to measure the "lace" by stretching it out across the entire length of the kitchen counter! It came apart in the middle so they were dqed! Ha!
