Non-Athletes And Speed And Agility Training

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, August 03, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Speed and agility training is most commonly done by athletes. Today however, anyone who is willing and determined to have a physically fit body can include this kind of training into their lifestyle. Chris Moal, Trained Sports CEO, says that people who include speed and agility training into their lives reap numerous benefits.

Moal claims that speed and agility training can generate results that can be seen and measured. Speed and agility training does not call for anyone to be an expert in a sport in order to give a toned look. Moal also says that anyone can easily track their progress when doing speed and agility workout programs.

"You can try doing a three-cone shuttle run while timing yourself. Be sure to record this time and after a few days, perform the same run and check your time to see improvements," Moal explains.

Moal adds that speed and agility training makes use of more muscles, which results to burning more calories than regular workouts. "Our body is known to burn 5 calories of energy in order to use up 1 liter of oxygen. If more muscles are used in working out, the body uses more oxygen that improves the amount of energy that is used," Moal further says.

Speed and agility training is also a form of HIIT or high intensity interval training, which is a popular and effective procedure to help burn calories for a little time and even after workout, Moal claims. Speed and agility drills should be done with the fastest speed possible. Moal explains that this can burn more calories than regular workouts but that it needs complete rest intervals in between repetitions in order to enable energy to be replaced and for the nervous system to recuperate.

Trained Sports introduces their own training cones on Amazon. The cones can also be used for speed and agility drills, which can be found in their drills e-book that ships for free with the cones.
