Trained Sports CEO On General Procedures For Doing Speed And Agility Drills

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, August 05, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Speed and agility training is commonly performed by elite athletes under the supervision of professional training coaches. Fortunately, the techniques and the equipment used for agility exercises is now available for the public and anyone who wants to improve his agility and speed can perform these exercises.

Chris Moal is the health enthusiast who is also the CEO of Trained Sports, a sports distribution tool that aims to provide their customers portable and affordable sports equipment. Moal here shares general guidelines that should help customers perform speed and agility drills successfully.

Moal shares that the main idea for a successful performance of these drills is quality. He adds that individual sprints should be short and there should be recovery time in between sets and in order to maximize the training, he shares some tips.

"Warm up before doing the training and make sure you are thoroughly warmed up before starting. Although these exercises may not make you breathless, they can however, place some amount of strain on your muscles," Moal warns.

Agility and speed drills can be done at the start of a workout session following the warm up or on other days when not doing other kinds of training, Moal says. He adds that a person will have the most benefit from speed and agility drills when he has already developed a power base and a solid strength.

"Speed and agility drills may be composed of around 5 sets of 10 repeats with each sprint considered as 1 repetition. The exercise to rest ratio should be 1 to 5, which means that a 10-second sprint should be followed by a 50-second rest," Moal adds.

Trained Sports introduces their training cones, which can also be used commonly in speed and agility training drills. The cones come with a free drill e-book.
