Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, September 24, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Early in August, Lush Items launched their latest home office product on Amazon - the MagniViz Magnifying Glass. To begin with, their first inventory order was just above the suppliers minimum order quantity. The reason for this is that it needed to check the popularity of the product before committing too much cash to stock. Obviously, the disadvantage of this is that if the product suddenly takes off, any sales momentum would be lost if there are long lead times to replenish stock.
Lush Items has just had its first ‘Low Inventory' notification from Amazon for the MagniViz, due to sales being higher than anticipated in the early days following the product launch. On the one hand this is a good sign as it means the current level of marketing is hitting the right target. However, it can also be a little frustrating as there is a risk that the Amazon warehouses will run out of stock before the new inventory arrives. It is now up to Lush Items to pay closer attention to inventory management, with better forecasting for demand and planning for stock replenishment, taking into account that larger inventory orders may mean longer lead times. Getting the balance right between these competing requirements and the cash flow aspect will eventually lead to optimal inventory levels. Economies of scale can be achieved with bigger inventory orders which will then allow the company breathing space to concentrate on new ways to market the MagniViz to new customers.
The MagniViz Magnifying Glass is multi-functional, in that it can be used hand held or hands free, because of its clever folding stand. The 3x magnification lens is made of acrylic and is 65mm wide. It comes with a soft cleaning cloth and protective inner plastic bag cover. There are 2 LED lights which require 2 AA batteries, but these are not included. The outer package has detailed instructions on how to operate the folding stand and replace the batteries.
Julie Stevens (Sales Director) said, "It will be frustrating if we run out of stock before our new shipment arrives. We will then have to concentrate our efforts in regaining the sales momentum which we experienced in the first few weeks. ".
