The new coffee canister from Coffee Gator
The video was produced and shot by former BBC documentary makers from the UK who were flown in to Coffee Gator headquarters just outside Detroit. The team also shot a range of photos which can be seen on the company's new website coffeegator.com
The Coffee Gator Canister represents a new generation of coffee storage container designed to protect beans of ground from flavor destroying elements. According to the company's website oxygen, light and moisture all attack and destroy the taste of coffee.
"Basically, we've come up with a better home for coffee" says company founder and CEO William Evans.
"A lot of people are confused about the best way to store their coffee and there's a lot of myths flying around - like storing coffee in the freezer. Our new product makes it easy for everyone - put your coffee in the container, keep it away from heat and the canister will do the rest" he explains.
As well as providing a vacuum seal the stainless steel container also includes a built-in valve which allows harmful Co2 (which is emitted after roasting) to escape from the unit. The company claims the new coffee canister will mean taste and freshness is preserved for longer - meaning a better brew.
Better coffee is something company CEO William Evans is passionate about. He describes himself as a ‘coffee nerd' and claims to be on a mission to get everyone drinking better coffee.
"These days coffee suppliers have really upped their game and consumers aren't afraid to invest in great coffee. Unfortunately the accessories available haven't really met the grade -until now. It's a bit like buying a Ferrari and storing it in an old, leaky garage. It makes no sense" says Mr Evans.
Coffee Gator says its mission is to provide tough, elegant coffee accessories that give people greater coffee experiences.
While the latest promotional video is an important development in the new Coffee Gator brand it hasn't been the only one in recent weeks. As well as the launch of the coffee canister the company has also hit ‘publish' on their new website Coffeegator.com. Staff are also busy at work building a community of ‘coffee nerds' on their new Facebook page.
