(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, December 20, 2015 ) Sunnyvale, CA -- The Card Armor company listened to its consumers. The first model card protector slid easily into most wallets, but some wallets with smaller slots still needed an extra bit of room to have the sleeves fit properly. Card Armor took note and redesigned its sleeves to have an easier fit.
This was a trick because they could not shave much more off the dimensions and have it still fit a credit card. They went to their designers and made it work and the result is a newly designed RFID Blocking Sleeves that is even easier to use.
It may be in the future that wallet makers will make the slots a little bit bigger to fit cards with protector sleeves in them.
Card Armor came about because the new EVM (EuroPay,Visa,MasterCard) mandate required all credit card companies to embed their cards with a "smart chip". This is a tiny microchip placed into a card which receives RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) waves to transfer information when purchasing an item. The purpose of this is to make one's cards safer from identity theft and card fraud.
The problem with this is that the chip makes cards more vulnerable to unauthorized scans. An unknowing person may be walking down the street with his or her credit cards, social security card, drivers license, transit card, debit card, etc. safely tucked in their wallet. Or so it is thought. Someone standing by unnoticed can have a device which is able to scan cards with smart chips on them up to 20 feet away. The next day the victim finds his money is cleared out of his bank account.
Why?
He or she did not have their credit cards protected. That's what Card Armor does. It protects against unauthorized scans as long as the cards are enclosed within the card holder.
The difference between the Card Armor sleeves and the paper or tyvek holders are for one, it has a clear front to allow for quick identification when searching through one's cards. It also has a slim new improved design to allow one to slip their cards in and out easily. It now fits in just about any wallet.
The card armor is available on amazon in a pack of 6 for a promotional discount price. The offer stands until supplies run out for the holidays.
