Collins Visual Media Brings The School Spirit

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, January 20, 2016 ) Shadow Hills, CA -- Collins Visual Media, the independently-owned sign company with over 30 years in the business, has gained experience over the years in everything from custom, hand-crafted signage to hero props for national commercials and film productions.

For one of their latest projects, Collins Visual Media was commissioned to design and create a custom mural for Whittier College in Whittier, California, featuring the schools mascot, The Poet. The mural was installed onto the face of a series of bleacher seats located in the schools gymnasium, allowing for the image to be visible regardless of whether the bleachers were expanded or collapsed.

To achieve this, the team at Collins Visual Media used a projector system to cast the image of the design onto the bleachers, allowing the artists to trace key features. The mural was designed by Adam Juneau of Collins Visual Media, who was also on-site for the installation. Once the key features were laid out, the team then hand-painted the remaining portions of the mural, which read "Poet Pit" which was accompanied by a set of aggressive-looking eyes.
