Top Los Angeles Interior Designer Lori Dennis Post Farmhouse Style Home On Houzz

The project is one of sixty five that the 2016 Houzz Best Designer, Lori Dennis, has had featured on the site. Custom details like rustic brick walls, built in cabinetry, eco-friendly fireplace, decorative lighting, natural stone and green features like solar panels adorn the condo.

The owners are a retired medical professional and a practicing attorney who both have roots on the East Coast. The home is a downsize for the boomers and located in a urban, multi-family neighborhood in walking distance to the Pacific Ocean and tech parks with giants like Google.

They site is interactive so that home owners can communicate with professionals they might not be able to otherwise hire," said Dennis. The project is completed in the now trending Farmhouse, or Americana style. It has an open floor plan, indoor outdoor vibe with a fully retracting glass wall and many industrial elements, including French Oak floors that harken back to a Chicago warehouse.

"The owner wanted a place to be comfortable. They frequently entertain the three generations of their family. Sophisticated friends and adults as well as small children had to feel at home here," explained the designer. " It's the kind of home where people walk barefoot and enjoy glasses of red wine. The first housewarming gift they received was a set of my Lori Dennis Unbreakable Glasses. The stemless design and patented Tritan plastic make them hard to knock over and if they do, well they are shatterproof!"
